London, Greater London, England
Easily one of the world’s great capital cities, London is always on the top 10 of travelers’ bucket list, and for good reason. Considered a ‘world in one city’ because of the constant influx of immigrants who constitute the city’s life blood, London nonetheless is very British with its flaming red double-deckers, boxy black cabs, the chocolate-colored Thames, the Tower Bridge, and the queen of all parliaments, the Westminster. The Big Ben is certainly hard to overlook, and so are the British Museum and the National Gallery for their stellar collection of art and antiquities. When the rains come (which are quite exaggerated in mainstream media) , travelers can tuck into 250-year-old pubs for fish and chips or listen to Shakespeare at the Globe Theater.
